COMMISSIONER
Shri Ranglal Jamuda IAS, Commissioner, Kendriya
Vidyalaya Sangthan (KVS) is from 1981 batch of
the Indian Administrative Service (Orissa
Cadre). He Graduated from the Ravenshaw College,
Cuttack (Utkal University) and did his post

University of Hull (U.K).
Shri Jamuda took over as Commissioner, Kendriya
Vidyalaya Sangthan on September 1, 2004. He has
held many important assignments in the Govt. of
Orissa during his long career. He worked in
power Sector for about four years (1993 to 1997)
and played a vital role in the Power Sector
reforms. Incidentally Orissa became the pioneer
in the Power Sector Reforms in our country. He
also worked as Higher Education Secretary for
more then two years and as Revenue Secretary for
about two years and eight months. During his
tenure in these two vital Departments of Govt.
of Orissa he initiated and successfully
implemented many reforms. Considering the
definite advantage of e-Governance he took bold
initiatives for computerization of land records.
The Record of Right (ROR) of an individual land
holder is very crucial for a variety of
activities. Such RORs can be readily accessed by
the land holders by visiting the website of the
Revenue Department.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan as an organization
has tremendous potential for pace setting
activities besides playing a significant role in
the field of e-Governance. Since the total
enrolment of students has already exceeded nine
lakh, these young KVians are in a position to
play the leading role in shaping the destiny of
the nation.
The KVS family is delighted and inspired on his
joining and looking forwards to a bright future. |
